A private travels bus met with an accident near Miryalaguda in Nalgonda district in the wee hours of Saturday, injuring several passengers.
The incident, police said, took place around 3.15 a.m., when the Orange Travels bus, going towards Bapatla from Hyderabad, lost control and overturned.
There were about 28 passengers at the time of accident, and those resting on the side of left aisle suffered injuries. Locals who were alerted by the loud sound of crashing called the police and ambulance service, to rescue the victims.
All the victims were transferred to the Miryalaguda Area Hospital for treatment. and eight of the total passengers had suffered limb and bleeding injuries, and were out of danger.
Police suspect over-speeding and drowsy driving resulted in the accident. A probe was opened.
