Manhunt For North Las Vegas Gunman Ends In Suicide

Police manhunt for gunmen who freed a drug dealer, killing two prison guards, in France

An overnight manhunt for a gunman sought in the deaths of five people in North Las Vegas came to a tragic end on Tuesday morning. The suspect, identified as Eric Adams, 47, was located by police just before he took his own life.

The incident unfolded on Monday night when Adams was suspected of carrying out two shootings at separate apartment complexes. The violent spree resulted in the deaths of five individuals, with a 13-year-old girl also sustaining critical injuries from a gunshot wound.

The first shooting was reported around 10 p.m. at an apartment complex on Casa Norte Drive. Upon arrival, police discovered two adult females with gunshot wounds, both of whom were later pronounced dead by medical personnel. A 13-year-old female victim was also found with a gunshot wound and was rushed to UMC Trauma Center in critical condition.

Subsequently, three more victims were located at another nearby apartment complex, including two women in their mid-20s and a man in his early 20s. Unfortunately, all three individuals were pronounced dead at the scene.

Following the shootings, Adams was identified as the prime suspect, prompting a widespread manhunt by law enforcement throughout the night. The search came to a conclusion around 10 a.m. on Tuesday when a tip led police to a local business on East Lake Mead Boulevard, where Adams was located.

Upon police arrival, Adams attempted to flee and eventually retreated to the backyard of a nearby residence. Despite officers' commands to drop the firearm, Adams tragically took his own life through suicide.

The North Las Vegas Police Department is currently conducting a thorough investigation into the tragic events that unfolded, aiming to provide answers and closure to the affected families and community.
