Police are appealing for witnesses after a gang of car thieves were spotted lurking near a West Lothian house shortly before it was raided.
A number of items as well as a black Audi Q7 motor were stolen after entry was forced to a property in Highfield, Livingston Village, at around 7.30pm on Friday.
Investigators say they are keen to identify five men, who were all wearing hoods and gloves, that were seen in the area at the time.
They also believe a silver Range Rover Evoque car was also involved in the raid. It is understood that the Audi, registration number SM71EXT, has not yet been recovered.
Detective Sergeant Lee Beaumont said: “We are urging anyone with information which may help our investigation to come forward. Anyone in the area at the time, or who may have seen the Audi later in the Broxburn area, is asked to get in touch with officers.
“We would be keen to speak to anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity around the area or who may have dashcam or private CCTV footage.
“If you can help please call 101 quoting reference 3278 of 25 November, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
