A MANHUNT is underway after police found a massive cannabis farm in Greenock.
Shortly before 12pm on Tuesday, February 11, officers received a report of a possible cannabis cultivation at a premises on Mackenzie Street in the town.
Cops raced to the property where they then discovered an 'extensive cannabis cultivation' of around 200 plants inside it.
The drugs found have an estimated street value of £120,000.
Following the huge find, police have launched an investigation to track down those responsible.
Sergeant Gary Arthur said: “This is a significant recovery and is an example of our efforts to disrupt the trade in illegal drugs in Scotland.
“Drugs cause misery in our communities and the public has an important role to play in helping Police Scotland target those responsible for the cultivation, supply and sale of illegal substances.
“Our enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are appealing for anyone with any information to contact us.”
A spokesperson for Police Scotland added: "Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 1163 of Tuesday, February 11, 2025, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
