Mango bosses have revealed when a huge new store will open in Newcastle city centre.
The Spanish clothing brand is taking over the former Monsoon unit inside Eldon Square shopping centre as it looks to expand its number of stores across the UK.
Black and white billboards with Mango branding appeared in front of the unit in July sparking excitement among shoppers. Store bosses told Chronicle Live that they hoped to open in October following extensive renovation work, however, the popular high street retailer has now confirmed that the huge new store is due to open in November instead.

The announcement will come as welcome news to shoppers hoping to visit the store over the Christmas period as the brand is currently only available in Newcastle as a department store concession inside Fenwicks.
The huge store will cover 400 square metres and stock items from Mango's 'woman collection.' A spokesman for the brand said the new store will create 13 new jobs, with an exact opening date in November still to be confirmed.
Daniel Lopez, Mango’s global expansion director, said: "The opening of these three stores is part of the expansion plan we are promoting to consolidate our brand in the country and a step forward in our strategic goals for international expansion and our distribution ecosystem.
"The United Kingdom is a key market for Mango and one of the most important for the fashion industry in the world, and we want Mango to have a significant presence in it."
The Newcastle store is one of three new Mango shops to open across the UK this year, with new branches launching at Bluewater shopping centre in Dartford and London’s new Battersea Power Station shopping centre.
Welcoming the announcement of the new Mango store, an Eldon Square spokeswoman told Chronicle Live in July: "We are delighted to confirm that one of Europe’s major fashion brands, Mango, will be joining our retail line up later this year. Mango is yet another global brand making the decision to open their store in our centre following the likes of H&M late last year.
"The fashion clothing brand, founded in the Spanish city of Barcelona, will be the perfect addition to our growing selection of fashion retailers and we are excited to continue enhancing the overall experience for our visitors."
