Mandy Moore's home design exhibits a fun, Californian twist on the quiet luxury trend – and it's currently listed for $6 million

It's not often that we get a full glimpse into each and every room in a celebrity's home at once – so when they list their homes for sale, curiosity gets the best of us. Mandy Moore is the latest Angeleno to list their home, and according to the star's Instagram post about the listing, it's a home that comes with lots of love and care put into it.

Designed by Albert Frey's disciple Harold B. Zook, architect Emily Farnham, interior designer Sarah Sherman Samuel, and landscape architect Terremoto, the space is a sight to behold. Each room offers a lighthearted, Californian twist on the quiet luxury trend, and we can't stop looking at its playful color palette.

'It’s the end of an era,' she stated in the caption of her Instagram post. 'Today, our home that we lovingly restored from the studs, is available for its next chapter and owner. It’s bittersweet as Taylor Goldsmith and I got engaged, married, and brought home two babies here, but I’m thrilled to see who she goes to next. It’s such a special space.'

According to the listing, the Pasadena property, selling for $6,000,000, features four bedrooms, three bathrooms, an outdoor swimming pool, and a fireplace. Due to its southern California location, desert landscapes surround the cool white house, with desert plants and soaring mountains serving as the backdrop to the spacious backyard swimming pool (more on that later). Built-in 1950, the home has been lovingly refurbished yet maintains its historical charm.

Let's dive in room by room, shall we?

Mid-century modern meets dopamine decor in the living space, where a soft, brown, and white checkered rug meets two blue velvet armchairs. The metallic, gold coffee table reflects the rug for added grooviness, while sophistication still plays a part in the space via blush pink curtains and a large, framed artwork.

The kitchen, on the other hand really taps into a classic, quiet luxury sensibility that we continue to see in homes everywhere. A white marble kitchen island serves as the centerpiece of the room, while wood chairs bring some natural elements to the modern room. We love how the marble continues into the backsplash, while the spherical, hanging lights add dimension to the space.

The sitting area is a masterclass in layering neutrals. A beige sofa sits atop a cream rug, alongside a wood coffee table and white boucle bench. The light colors are inviting and easy on the eyes, making for a perfect space to unwind.

One of our favorite areas of the home is a cozy nook that features built-in bookshelves. We can picture curling up on the mustard yellow-outfitted bench to read and relax, while the large windows provide ample sunlight.

Moving on to the master bedroom – the area is primed for sleep, with a large, printed area rug cushioning the dark bed frame. White bedding provides contrast and calm in the space, while the white walls, greige curtains, and textured artwork above the headboard add plenty of visual interest.

A freestanding tub? Say less. This luxe bathroom fixture automatically amps up the bathing experience, featuring luxe gold accents and an abstract chandelier.

Double sinks are a another highlight in the bathroom. The mix of marble and wood once again taps into the mid-century modern and quiet luxury hybrid, while the bespoke, gold mirrors add another layer of luxury.

Perhaps the best part of the home is its exterior. The large pool is perfect for swimming laps or hosting casual parties, while there is ample ground room for patio furniture, barbeque equipment, and outdoor dining accessories.

Mandy Moore's home is listed with Teresa Fuller at Compass.
