Much of Greater Manchester will wake up to heavy rain this morning.... but, the weather will be brighter over the weekend.
After a wet few days, brighter skies are forecast from later today (Thursday). The rain is set to clear by around 10am in our region, according to the Met Office.
The weather will then change to cloudy with some sunny spells forecast for the early afternoon. Blustery conditions are forecast for today, but the temperature will feel warm for this time of year with highs of around 18C.

On Friday, forecasters predict there may be some showers in the morning in Greater Manchester. But sunny spells are forecast into the afternoon with clear skies predicted into the evening.
It will feel warm again for October with the mercury reaching 17C. Saturday and Sunday are forecast to be mostly cloudy days.
According to the Met Office, conditions will be mostly dry over the weekend with temperatures reaching around 17C. There may be some blustery winds.
