Manchester United suffered a disappointing afternoon at Old Trafford on Sunday following a goalless draw with Southampton.
United started the better of the two teams but their game plan was thrown out of the window half an hour in when Casemiro was sent off for a challenge on Carlos Alcaraz following a VAR review. From then on, the Saints had the better of the game and chances to take the lead, but David de Gea and the Reds' backline stood firm to earn the point.
While a draw was less than ideal for United, they remain third in the Premier League and are still in a comfortable position to qualify for the Champions League next season. As Erik ten Hag's team struggled against the South Coast club, here is how some of United's loan players got on at their temporary clubs.

Charlie Savage - Forest Green Rovers
The pick of the performances this weekend came from United youngster Savage in League One. United's 19-year-old scored his first ever senior goal against Bristol Rovers to give his team the lead. Sadly, the third tier strugglers were unable to hold onto the advantage as a John Marquis double and a Scott Sinclair goal succumbed Duncan Ferguson's side to defeat. Forest Green remain 12 points from safety at the foot of the table.
Alvaro Fernandez - Preston North End
Fernandez continued his pivotal role in Ryan Lowe's Championship team as he played 83 minutes in Preston's 2-0 victory over Cardiff City. Thomas Cannon and Ched Evans got themselves on the scoresheet as a late red card for Jak Alnwick capped forgettable day for the South Wales team.
Axel Tuanzebe - Stoke City
United's 25-year-old centre-back made his first league start for the Potters in an entertaining 3-2 victory over Blackburn Rovers on Friday night. Ki-Jana Hoever's brace and a Tyrese Campbell goal put Stoke in control before late goals from Ben Brereton-Diaz and Sam Gallagher made for a nervy ending at the bet365 Stadium.
Shola Shoretire - Bolton Wanderers
Shoretire started again for Bolton, this time in their top of the table clash with Ipswich Town. But, sadly for the United man, Kieran McKenna's third-placed side walked away with a 2-0 victory. George Hirst and Cameron Burgess were on target but Bolton remain in the playoff places despite the defeat.
Eric Bailly - Marseille
Bailly has not enjoyed the best of loan spells in France this season but he did perform admirably in his brief nine minute cameo in the 2-2 draw with Strasbourg. The centre-back made a valuable goal line clearance after replacing Alexis Sanchez in the stalemate.
