Manchester United youngster Hannibal Mejbri has refused to rule out the possibility of returning to Birmingham City next season following the conclusion of his season-long loan spell at St Andrew's.
Hannibal, 20, made his final appearance for the club on Monday, stepping off the bench in the Blues' 2-1 final-day defeat at home to already-promoted Sheffield United. He replaced fellow midfielder Juninho Bacuna with just over 20 minutes left on the clock.
That marked his 41st appearance of the season, highlighting the amount of game time he earned during his loan spell in the Midlands. He produced a catalogue of impressive performances, helping Birmingham, who have faced a wave of off-field problems in recent years, finish 17th in the table.

Already a fully-fledged Tunisia international, Hannibal is unlikely to be content with returning to United ahead of next season and barely featuring, meaning the club has an important decision to make on his future this summer. Although he is now looking forward to a well-earned break, he has refused to rule out the prospect of returning to Birmingham for a second spell.
"First, the Championship is very hard, so I'm going to have a good holiday," Hannibal told BirminghamLive. "After that I will think about next season and get ready for my pre-season with Man United."
Asked if he could return to Birmingham, the United youngster continued: "We will see at the end of the pre-season. Why not? You never know."
Making 41 appearances in total, featuring one goal and six assists, the youngster made the most of his first career loan spell, securing first-hand experience of the cut-and-thrust nature of the Championship.
"It was really hard," added the midfielder. "The Championship is really hard. We play week-in, week-out. At home you have to sleep every day and eat good otherwise you get injured.
"It was a really good experience. I think I learned a lot and the fans were unbelievable with me. I have to give them everything on the pitch and that is what I tried to do."
