Man United XI vs Tottenham: Bruno out - Starting lineup, confirmed team news for Premier League today

Cristiano Ronaldo is back in the starting line-up for Manchester United’s Premier League clash with Tottenham later today - but Bruno Fernandes misses out.

Both sides are desperate for a vital three points in their quest for Champions League football next season, with Arsenal currently leading the race for fourth place.

United suffered a major blow to their aspirations against Manchester City last time out, falling to a 4-1 defeat after Ronaldo was ruled out with a hip issue.

Veteran striker Ronaldo scarpered for Portugal after learning of his unavailability, with Ralf Rangnick confirming he is now fit for the meeting with Spurs.

Edinson Cavani was set to be fit for the derby but was not named in the squad following a groin injury. However, he too is now back on the bench. In the reverse fixture, the two combined to great effect up front in perhaps United’s best display of the season.

Raphael Varane is also back after a positive test for Covid-19, with Luke Shaw and Fernandes out due to illness. David De Gea, meanwhile, starts despite being a doubt amid reports of the goalkeeper contracting Covid.

Diogo Dalot and Marcus Rashford have been recalled.

Man United XI: De Gea; Dalot, Varane, Maguire, Telles; Matic, Fred; Sancho, Pogba, Rashford; Ronaldo.

Subs: Henderson, Bailly, Jones, Lindelof, Wan-Bissaka, Lingard, Mata, Elanga, Cavani.

Date and time: 5.30pm, Saturday 12 March 2022

Venue: Old Trafford
