Manchester United XI vs Real Betis: Starting lineup, confirmed team news and injury latest for friendly today

Manchester United have named David De Gea in their starting line-up to face Real Betis in a friendly today.

No new faces are set to arrive from the World Cup for the friendly in Spain, which follows a 4-2 defeat to Cadiz in midweek.

Every senior outfield player available to United starts along with youngsters Alejandro Garnacho, Teden Mengi and Zidane Iqbal.

Still absent will be those stars competing in Qatar, such as Marcus Rashford and Antony, while Facundo Pellistri and Christian Eriksen are not expected to play despite being knocked out of the World Cup.

Jadon Sancho did not travel to United’s training camp to undergo an individual routine back in Manchester ahead of the Premier League restarting. Axel Tuanzebe is injured.

Erik ten Hag has a number of academy prospects available off the bench. Kobbie Mainoo scored as a substitute in Cadiz while Shola Shoretire, Marc Jurado and Charle McNeil also featured as substitutes.

Manchester United XI: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Mengy, Williams; McTominay, Iqbal; Elanga, Van de Beek, Garnacho; Martial.

Subs: Heaton, Bishop, Dubravka, Shoretire, Savage, Hugill, McNeil, Emeran, Bernard, Jurado, Hardley, Bennett, Hansen-Aaroen, Mainoo, Murray.
