Raphael Varane makes a quick-fire return to the Manchester United lineup for tonight’s meeting with Nottingham Forest.

Asked whether Harry Maguire would be avialabel to face Forest, Erik ten Hag said on Friday: “I can’t answer because Harry is sick. I don’t know how that develops. We have to wait. Maybe the coming hours, maybe the coming days, and then we will see if he is available for Forest.”

Diogo Dalot also missed the Burnley game through injury so Aaron Wan-Bissaka is handed another start at right-back.

Without Cristiano Ronaldo following his Old Trafford exit before the World Cup, Anthony Martial leads the line tonight.

Christian Eriksen, Antony and Marcus Rashford also start. Ten Hag has said he does not think Jadon Sancho will be available, however.

Starting Manchester United XI: De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Shaw, Malacia, Casemiro, Eriksen, Bruno Fernandes, Antony, Rashford, Martial
