Manchester United XI vs Nottingham Forest: Starting lineup, confirmed team news, injury latest today

Manchester United have been boosted by an easing of injuries in defence ahead of tonight’s trip to face Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.

The international break came at the right time for United, and Ruben Amorim confirmed at his pre-match press conference that both Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro are now available.

Maguire has been out since the end of February with a calf injury, while Yoro picked up a foot injury against Arsenal in early March.

Amorim has decided against bringing both of the defenders straight back into the starting lineup as Yoro starts alongside Noussair Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt with Maguire named on the bench with Victor Lindelof.

As expected, Ayden Heaven is not involved at the City Ground after he was stretchered off against Leicester before the international break, but he has avoided a significant injury.

"It was not so serious," Amorim said Monday. "He is recovering, [he is] not ready to play, but he will return this season for sure."

The match comes too soon for Jonny Evans and Kobbie Mainoo but the pair are both nearing a return to action, while Luke Shaw returned to training last week but United will be cautious with a player that has not started a match this season.

Amorim said: "Luke [Shaw] is not ready yet. We are starting to do some drills with the team but we are building Luke.”

Chido Obi is unavailable, after United decided to make him available for the FA Youth Cup instead, but Joshua Zirkzee comes back into the side, in place of Christian Eriksen.
