Manchester United vs Nottingham Forest date and ticket details for FA Youth Cup final

Nottingham Forest are into the FA Youth Cup final after beating Chelsea 3-1 at the City Ground on Monday night.

Warren Joyce's Young Reds stunned the Blues with a late comeback thanks to goals from Dale Taylor and Detlef Esapa Osong (2). Remarkably, Forest were losing until five minutes left thanks to a goal three minutes after the hour mark from Charlie Webster.

Taylor netted the first of three Reds goals before Esapa Osong put the hosts in front on the 90th minute with the striker bagging from the penalty spot three minutes into added time. Forest's reward is a trip to Old Trafford to contest the final against Manchester United, with the date to be confirmed.

Tickets will be available to be purchased for Forest's maiden FA Youth Cup final appearance for £1 on Tuesday. United have won the tournament ten times and reached the final thanks to a 3-0 defeat of Wolverhampton Wanderers last month.

Forest's academy has produced first-team players in Brennan Johnson, Ryan Yates and Joe Worrall in recent years with Steve Cooper's first-team setup also enjoying a run in the FA Cup with the quarter-final stages reached before a defeat to Liverpool in March. "It's brilliant that the lads are in the latter stages of what is a really prestigious tournament in our country," Cooper said.

"I've been a part of it myself, and it does mean a lot when you're that age and at that stage of your career - and for the coaches and staff who work within the academies as well. "That's good, but maybe the bigger picture is that these lads are in their development and you're always trying to give them experiences which can get them ready for the next step, which is into first-team football.

"One thing the guys don't get is the opportunity to play in front of crowds. If - and hopefully we'll see it in the future - those boy1s get through and play for our team, they have to play in front of big crowds."
