Manchester United vs Manchester City LIVE
The latest Manchester derby will not live long in the memory as Man United and Man City played out a disappointing goalless draw at Old Trafford. A real lack of quality from both sides was the story of the game, though Ederson made an important save in the second half to deny Joshua Zirzkee, whilst Andre Onana kept out a powerful effort from Omar Marmoush.
As a result, Man City have missed an opportunity to move into fourth place in the Premier League table after Chelsea had dropped points away at Brentford earlier in the day. Pep Guardiola’s side remain fifth, opening the door for Newcastle to leapfrog them when they face relegation threatened Leicester on Monday night.
However, the point does lift United back into 13th after they had slipped one place before kick-off following Tottenham’s 3-2 win over Southampton. They now turn their attentions to Thursday’s Europa League tie against Lyon, but there’s not much to shout about from the derby outing. Follow the game back with our dedicated match blog.

Stalemate in Manchester derby

Team news imminent
15:10 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneTeam news will be dropping from Old Trafford any minute now...
Guardiola: De Bruyne deserves a statue
15:05 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneIn Pep Guardiola’s eyes, Kevin De Bruyne is comfortably among the Premier League’s greatest players.
Asked whether De Bruyne deserved a statue commemorating his time at the Etihad, Guardiola said: “I don’t know for sure, but I would bet a lot of money that it will happen.
“He is one of the league’s greatest midfielders. You always have to be careful with respect for other incredible players in the last 20, 30 years in this club, but come on. There is no doubt he is one of the greatest with his consistency.
“The last year and a half, he has had injury problems, but his consistency in important games and other games, there is no doubt.”

Amorim eager to get Manchester United challenging again
15:00 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneRuben Amorim says he is "in a rush" for Manchester United to improve and challenge for Premier League titles again.
"I understand, but I'm not naïve. I don't want to think we need a lot of years to be competitive. I can't think like that, I cannot manage that, it's not in me. That's why I'm putting pressure on myself," he told reporters on Friday. "I know we won't be the biggest challengers in the next year or two years. We are changing a lot of things inside the club and we know it will take a lot of time, but I will not say I need a lot of years.
"Next year is our goal. I'm not saying we're going to win the title in the next year, I'm not crazy.
"I'm saying I don't want this conversation that we need a lot of years and let's keep it calm - no, we are in a rush. We are suffering a lot for next year to be so much better.
"I don't want to be the guy that is sitting here saying we need a lot of time. I will not be that coach.
"All the teams, they are already in a place where we need a lot to catch them and they will improve again next season. I want to focus on our strengths and then use our club to try and bring in one or two big players in.
"I cannot manage saying in three years, we still try something. For me, we will start next season. We need to be so much better because this is a massive club and I want to put that pressure on me and everybody here."

Predicted Manchester City XI
14:55 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneThe newest and most notable absence is Erling Haaland, who suffered an ankle injury after equalising in a 2-1 FA Cup win over Bournemouth. He is expected to return no earlier than the last week of the season.
Omar Marmoush deputised at striker against Leicester midweek, scoring once, and will likely hold onto the starting role at Old Trafford.
Pep Guardiola will likely rotate his squad, though, offering a stronger selection after giving fringe players a run out against Leicester last time out.
Predicted Man City XI: Ederson; Nunes, Dias, Gvardiol, Lewis; Nico, Gundogan; Foden, De Bruyne, Doku; Marmoush

Predicted Manchester United XI
14:50 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneThere are plenty of decisions for Ruben Amorim to make in attack as Joshua Zirkzee struggled as the focal point against Forest and could therefore make way for Rasmus Hojlund who ended his long goal drought in the 3-0 win over Leicester before the international break.
Captain Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho could continue in the advanced midfield roles as Mason Mount’s minutes are being managed carefully, whilst Casemiro could resume his partnership with Manuel Ugarte in defensive midfield.
Predicted Manchester United XI: Onana; Mazraoui, Maguire, Yoro; Dalot, Ugarte, Casemiro, Dorgu; Fernandes, Garnacho; Hojlund

De Bruyne's last derby
14:45 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneIf he features this afternoon, it will be Kevin De Bruyne's last ever appearance in a Manchester derby.
On Friday the attacking midfielder - who will surely go down as a Premier League legend - announced his decision to leave Manchester City upon the expiry of his contract at the end of the season.
De Bruyne has faced Manchester United 20 times in City blue, though only one of his three goals has been scored at Old Trafford.

Today's setting
14:40 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneBeautiful conditions for a Manchester derby!

Score prediction
14:20 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneRecent history gives United the edge for this one. After all, they surprised many in last season’s FA Cup final by leaving Wembley with the trophy and then earlier in this campaign Ruben Amorim’s side came from behind to leave the Etihad Stadium with all three points.
Both sides are in decent form currently, but Amorim seems to have Pep Guardiola’s number at the moment to mastermind yet another victory over the Spaniard.
Manchester United to win, 2-1.
Manchester City team news
