Manchester United’s clash away at Liverpool later this month will be rearranged after Jurgen Klopp’s side progressed in the FA Cup.
United had been scheduled to visit Anfield on Sunday, March 20 as they continue their battle for the top four, with the hosts looking to chase down Manchester City in the title race. The outing would have been part of a tough run of fixtures for United, with games against City, Tottenham and Atletico Madrid all pencilled in.
However, with Liverpool beating Norwich 2-1 in their fifth-round tie on Wednesday night, the match has now been postponed. Takumi Minamino’s double ensured the Reds’ hopes of a quadruple remain intact following their Carabao Cup triumph at the weekend.

Liverpool will go into the draw for the quarter-finals on Thursday night and will find out their opponents ahead of Everton’s clash against Boreham Wood. Sixth-round ties are scheduled to take place over the weekend of March 19 and 20, meaning United’s fixture will have to be rearranged.
Liverpool’s congested fixture list means there will be a limited number of free midweek dates left in the calendar in order for them to face United. Should they overcome Inter Milan and make it through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League, their next free midweek date would be April 19 or April 20.
Due to Norwich’s defeat to Liverpool, the Canaries should be able to visit Old Trafford in the Premier League on April 16.
Further United fixtures could be subject to change, with live TV selections not being made for the second half of April until after the FA Cup quarter-final draw is made. The dates and times of the meetings with Norwich, Brentford and Arsenal are therefore not yet confirmed.
