Marcus Rashford is set to be fit for Manchester United’s clash with Chelsea, Erik ten Hag has confirmed.
The Red Devils host the Blues at Old Trafford looking to secure Champions League qualification, with goals an issue of late after just five scored by Ten Hag’s team in their last five games.
But the return of Rashford will be a boost in that regard, after he sat out the trip to Bournemouth due to illness having battled a leg injury.
With the England striker, 25, back in training on Tuesday, United boss Ten Hag has provided a positive update.
“It looks like [he’ll be fit],” he told reporters on Wednesday.
“Yesterday, he returned to training. He looks quite fit but we have to see today what is the outcome of the training, how we recover and then we will make our choices.”
Frank Lampard said Chelsea will be without Reece James, Mason Mount, Ben Chilwell and Reece James for the trip to Manchester.
However, Joao Felix has recovered from a minor issue that saw him drop out of the weekend defeat at Manchester City shortly before kick-off.
“Mason, Reece and Chilly won't make the game,” said Lampard.
“Benoit we know is out, we're as we were. Joao, had a small injury at the weekend, he's back involved.”
