Manchester United vs Burnley: Prediction, kick-off time, TV, live stream, team news, h2h results, odds today

Manchester United get back in action today with a Carabao Cup clash against Burnley.

The Red Devils have spent much of their World Cup break on a warm-weather training camp in Spain which involved friendly defeats to Cadiz and Real Betis.

A place in the cup quarter-finals is the prize on offer with the competition already shorn of a number of big names - including one of Manchester City or Liverpool after their game a day later.

Burnley’s mid-season pause ended earlier than United’s and they have won both of their Championship games since restarting, extending their lead atop the table.

Here are all the details...

Date, kick-off time and venue

Manchester United vs Burnley is scheduled for an 8pm GMT kick-off today, Wednesday December 21, 2022.

The match will take place at Old Trafford.

Where to watch Manchester United vs Burnley

TV channel: In the UK, the match will be televised live on Sky Sports Main Event and Football, with coverage starting at 7.30pm.

Manchester United vs Burnley team news

Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane will miss the game after playing in Sunday’s World Cup final.

Jadon Sancho will not feature after being left at home for the Spain training camp due to a lack of fitness, with reports on the eve of the game indicating he is yet to return to Manchester.

Diogo Dalot and Teden Mengi are doubts with Axel Tuanzebe out long-term.

That could thrust Harry Maguire back into the XI with World Cup stars Marcus Rashford, Luke Shaw and Bruno Fernandes among those back in United training.
