PSV winger Cody Gakpo has dropped a hint regarding his future after reports suggested Nottingham Forest have submitted a bid.
Forest have stepped up their efforts to add further offensive reinforcements to their squad for their first campaign in the Premier League after 23 years away. Steve Cooper has already made 12 signings this summer and various targets have been tipped to make the move to the East Midlands before September’s deadline.
One player who has been rumoured to be on the Reds' radar is Netherlands international Gakpo. The 23-year-old winger had a stunning campaign in the Eredivisie last season with 12 goals and 13 assists. Previous reports claimed that Forest have made a bid for the winger, but face competition from Arsenal, Manchester United and Leeds United.

However, Gakpo has sparked an indication of where his future may lie by discussing the importance of whether PSV qualify for the Champions league. He told ESPN (via the Mirror): "We must first focus on [the second leg against Monaco] and try to make it to the Champions League.
"Then it is more likely that I will stay. I don't think I have said anywhere that I am leaving, so there is definitely a chance that I will stay.
"I'm open for a cup of coffee with the management - or coffee for them and water for me. We'll see how it goes."
Since then, PSV progressed to the play-offs of Europe's elite competition after a dramatic 3-2 victory over Monaco in the Netherlands. Former Newcastle United striker Luuk de Jong was the match-winner in the 109th minute, meaning PSV have only Rangers as their only hurdle to earn a place in the Champions League group stage.
