Manchester United told Moises Caicedo price and more transfer rumours

Brighton and Hove Albion will want at least £80million for the Manchester United-linked Moises Caicedo, according to reports.

Erik ten Hag is keen to strengthen in defensive midfield, with the absence of Casemiro this season leading to a marked drop off in quality and results. Bruno Fernandes has dropped into the role in recent games but lacks the defensive stability of his Brazilian teammate.

United have been linked with Caicedo in the past, and the Ecuadorian's form for Brighton this season has seen that interest maintained ahead of the summer. Football Insider report the Seagulls would listen to offers around the £80million mark.

Roberto De Zerbi's side turned down an offer of around £70million from Arsenal in January despite Caicedo refusing to train in a bid to force a move. Shortly after reintegrating into the squad, the 21-year-old signed a fresh deal that could keep him at the AMEX until 2027. Despite that, the Seagulls will reportedly still listen to offers this summer

Elsewhere, 90min reports that agents of Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili held talks with a number of Premier League clubs last week, including United. Mamardashvili has been a shining light in an otherwise dismal season for Valencia, with the Spanish side currently in the relegation zone.

The 22-year-old has attracted interest from a number of top-flight clubs for a string of fine performances. United are one of those reportedly interested and representatives from Old Trafford have reportedly held initial talks with the goalkeeper's representatives. The report adds several clubs have done the same, including Chelsea, Tottenham and Leicester City, with Valencia expected to want around £30million for the young Georgian.
