Two more goals for Victor Osimhen on Wednesday evening took him to 23 for the season and no doubt caught the eye of Erik ten Hag.
The Dutchman's interest in signing a world-class striker this summer has been well-documented, and although MEN Sport understands Harry Kane has been earmarked as the prime summer target, Osimhen's name will likely be just underneath it and Tottenham's reported unwillingness to sell could see the England star's name crossed off.
Osimhen and Napoli cruised past Eintracht Frankfurt in the last-16 of the Champions League, returning from Germany with a two-goal advantage and firing home three more at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium for good measure. As ever, it was the Nigerian at the centre of an attacking unit that oscillates around their star.

A lack of experience in the latter stages of the competition leaves Luciano Spalletti's side as relative dark horses in Europe, but domestic matters couldn't be more different with an 18-point gap all but handing them a third Scudetto. Osimhen has 19 goals in the league and is nailed on to win the Capocannoniere award - literally 'head gunner' - for Serie A's top-scorer.
"Being the highest goalscorer is actually not my main priority," he told ESPN of his personal season back in February. "The team comes first before my personal ambition. If I win it, that's fine but what I want to do is try to win trophies with my team. As long as the team is winning, it doesn't matter to me who gets the goals or whether I win top scorer or not."
Such ambitions will be received well around Old Trafford, with Ten Hag already making a start in bringing silverware back to United. The 53-year-old ended a six-year drought at the first time of asking last month, beating Newcastle 2-0 at Wembley to lift the Carabao Cup.
Ten Hag has made no attempts to hide his desire for trophies, citing them as the objective measure of success. They had become a rarity under the litany of managers that followed Sir Alex Ferguson, often being pushed aside in the hunt for top four and Champions League qualification.
A world-class goalscorer will take United to the next level, but Cristiano Ronaldo's ill-fated second spell at Old Trafford was proof that a glut of individual goals does not directly correlate to trophies. Osimhen's admission that he will do whatever he can to help Napoli win silverware will encourage Ten Hag.
Tottenham have already fought off one of Manchester's big clubs who came looking for Kane, and even with 12 months left on the striker's deal, Daniel Levy will almost certainly play hardball.
If the opportunity to act swiftly on Osimhen surfaces, Ten Hag will need to know the Nigerian is about more than just goals. Fortunately for both parties, that has already been well established.
