Adrien Rabiot has lifted the lid on his time at Manchester City during his youth career, as he reiterated his "desire" to one day play in the Premier League after being linked with a move to Manchester United over the summer.
Rabiot was part of City's academy back in 2008, but the then 13-year-old would only be in Manchester for six months before he returned to France. The French midfielder has since gone on to have an illustrious career playing for both Paris Saint-Germain and most recently Juventus.
The 27-year-old is in the final year of his contract at the Serie A side, meaning that as of January 1 he is free to discuss and agree terms with other clubs outside of Italy for a move in the summer. United were looking to pursue a move for Rabiot, yet a deal failed to materialise before the September 1 deadline.

Rabiot has now lifted the lid on his time at City, while also admitting that he is eager to return to the Premier League.
He said: “It was very good experience. I didn’t do a whole season, though. Everything went well whilst I was there. I really liked the atmosphere, I liked the atmosphere around football. It’s really something that is only in England. It’s different from France and Italy.
“I have always said that I’d like to play in England in my career. Will it happen at the end of my career in Juventus? I don’t know. But yeah I still have that desire [to play in the Premier League]. I’d like to evolve in the Premier League.
“I haven’t got a Premier League team in mind right now. I haven’t chosen a team or anything. It’s a general thing, it’s the championship, it’s the level of play that’s going on, that’s what attracts me most. I think it corresponds to my qualities.”
