Manchester United have reportedly put an improved offer on the table for Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana.
The 27-year-old is the Old Trafford club's top goalkeeper target in the summer transfer window and manager Erik ten Hag will look to bring him in, after securing the services of Mason Mount. A back-up is also being sought by United, but it is former Ajax man Onana who Ten Hag has his eyes firmly set on.
Inter are said to have rejected the latest, third offer from United though. The Old Trafford side were looking to get a €50m deal over the line, but the Serie A side are said to want closer to €60m for the Cameroon international. However, transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that €55m could be enough to prise Onana away.
Speculation around Onana comes amid David de Gea's uncertain future at Old Trafford. The Spaniard's contract expired at United last week and there are doubts over his No.1 status next season - with senior figures at the club wanting United to move on. The club started exploring options to sign a new first-choice 'keeper last month.

Elsewhere, it is being reported by The Guardian that Ten Hag is willing to sell Fred and Anthony Elanga this summer. United are said to want £30m for each player, though Fred only has one year left on his contract while Elanga's deal runs for another three years.
The Dutchman is claimed to have £65m left in his initial budget for new signings after bringing in Mason Mount from Chelsea. A departure for Harry Maguire is also possible, though his salary increase - after United's qualification for the Champions League - is said to be making it difficult for United.
