Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has posted an emotional tribute following the death of his agent Mino Raiola - who passed away, aged 54, after struggling with illness. A statement confirming that sad news was posted via social media on Saturday.
Raiola was responsible for guiding global superstars such as Pogba and Manchester City target Erling Haaland. He was regarded as one of the very best agents in the game.
Earlier in the week, the Italian-born Dutchman was made to deny premature reports on his passing, but his death was confirmed by his family on Saturday. Part of a statement read: "In infinite sorrow we share the passing of the most caring and amazing football agent that there ever was. Mino fought until the end with the same strength he put on negotiation tables to defend our players. As usual, Mino made us proud and never realised it."

Clients such as Haaland reacted to the news and Pogba has posted his own tribute to Raiola. Beyond those two, other players who were guided by the Italian-born Dutchman include Mario Balotelli, former United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Pogba shared a montage of pictures with Raiola on his Instagram profile. Addressing his 53.3million followers, the World Cup winner said: "Always in my heart. Thank you Mimi."
His post included love heart and prayer hands emojis. Pogba is set to leave United on a free transfer for a second time during the summer transfer window. He has two months left to run on his agreement as speculation over his future continues to mount. Raiola brokered his £89million return to Old Trafford in 2016.
