Manchester United youngster Charlie Wellens is set to leave the club at the end of the season.
Wellens, 20, has been pictured on trial with Barnsley's Under-21s and the Manchester Evening News understands that he is currently looking at clubs ahead of an expected departure in the summer when his United contract is due to expire.
Sources have also indicated there is no loan exit on the cards for Wellens ahead of the January transfer window deadline.

Wellens is set to remain in the academy, which means he will see his contract out playing for the U21s in the Premier League 2.
The versatile youngster joined Oldham Athletic on a four-month loan deal at the start of September, but he was recalled from that spell in December ahead of the set expiry date after failing to receive the minutes staff hoped he would.
Wellens made just four starts for Oldham in the National League and he played a total of just 319 minutes for the club.
The Salford-born academy product began his career in central midfield but moved to right-back last season.
