Mitchell van der Gaag is set to join Manchester United as Erik ten Hag's assistant manager.
United confirmed Ten Hag as their new manager on Thursday, with the 52-year-old signing a three-year deal with the option of a fourth. He will join United once he's completed this season with Ajax and he is set to bring Van der Gaag with him, although United are yet to finalise terms on that deal.
The 50-year-old joined Ajax in 2019 as head coach of Jong Ajax, the club's B team, before being promoted to Ten Hag's assistant last year. He also has experience of management, having worked in Portugal and Greece as well as taking charge of FC Eindhoven, Excelsior and NAC Breda before joining Ajax.

Ten Hag is also set to bring more staff with him to United, while he will also work with some existing members of the backroom staff.
United saw Michael Carrick, Kieran McKenna and Martyn Pert depart after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked and interim manager Ralf Rangnick was forced to make short-term appointments to bolster his staff at Carrington. Rangnick appointed Chris Armas and Sascha Lense among his backroom team.
