Cristiano Ronaldo has not been included in Manchester United's squad to play Chelsea on Saturday, as expected. Ronaldo refused to come on for United in their 2-0 win over Tottenham in midweek and he returned to the dressing room before the game had finished, which forced Erik ten Hag to make the forward train separately with fitness coaches on Friday.
Ten Hag explained in his pre-Chelsea press conference there would be 'consequences' for Ronaldo 's actions and that has led the Dutchman to leave him out of the squad to play Graham Potter's side at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.
United have flown to London on Friday night and Ronaldo was not spotted travelling with the squad, which was expected.

Ronaldo responded to the incident on social media on Thursday night and he wrote: "Right now, I just feel that I have to keep working hard in Carrington, support my teammates and be ready for everything in any given game. Giving in to the pressure is not an option. It never was. This is Manchester United, and united we must stand. Soon we’ll be together again."
Ten Hag also confirmed in his press conference that Anthony Martial would not be available against Chelsea and the Frenchman was not spotted travelling with the squad, which means Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Antony are expected to start.
Harry Maguire, Donny van de Beek and Aaron Wan-Bissaka remain sidelined and were not spotted with the travelling squad.
Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane were pictured at Manchester Airport and they are set to resume their defensive partnership against Chelsea this weekend after playing key roles in United keeping clean sheets across the last three matches.
Although Anthony Elanga was not spotted at the airport, he is expected to be in the squad for Chelsea. Elanga made a late appearance against Tottenham on Wednesday night and he trained at Carrington this week ahead of the match.
Zidane Iqbal was not on the bench for the visit of Tottenham but he's made the squad for Saturday's clash.
