United announce Madrid friendly during US tour

Manchester United will play European giants Real Madrid in a pre-season friendly during their summer tour of the US in July.

United and Real will meet at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, on July 26 as part of the Soccer Champions Tour exhibition series, which features six clubs playing nine matches across 12 days in the United States.

This friendly will pit England's most successful team against Spain's and it isn't the first time they've played each other in America, having last met in front of 109,318 fans at The Big House, Michigan, which remains the largest-ever audience for a football match played on US soil.
