Manchester United reportedly expect Nottingham Forest loanee Dean Henderson to return to Old Trafford at the end of the season.
Henderson joined the Reds on a season-long loan spell as he looked for regular first-team football after becoming surplus to requirements at United last season, making just three appearances. United are keen to keep him in the squad ahead of next season, according to reports, despite his comments in an interview with talkSPORT.
According to ESPN, the 25 year-old is "considered better on the ball than David De Gea", which is a bonus for the Red Devils. Erik ten Hag wants to sign another goalkeeper to compete with De Gea this season, though, but expect Henderson to "return to Old Trafford compete for the No.1 spot."

Henderson has made an impressive start to life at the City Ground, conceding only three goals in three games so far including a penalty save against West Ham. He is out of contract at United in 2025 and it remains to be seen whether he will be keen to try and fight for his future in Manchester following his spell on Trentside.
