Manchester United’s season ticket prices compared with rest of the Premier League

Manchester United fans are set to pay more than Manchester City supporters for 2023/24 season tickets, although prices are not the most expensive in the Premier League.

The Reds finished third this campaign as they secured Champions League football at Old Trafford once again. Next season, some will be anticipating a crack at a title charge as Erik ten Hag continues his rebuild mission.

While United fans do pay more than most for season tickets, they are among the cheapest tickets of the ‘big six’ Premier League clubs. For the cheapest, United fans will be paying £559.

This is the eighth-most of any top-flight club, but cheaper than many of their rivals other than Manchester City. City fans pay only £385 for their cheapest 19-game tickets, among the cheapest in the league.

Both clubs have seen a rise of around five per cent across their season tickets, with the most expensive options at United and City costing £950 and £1,030 respectively.

Comparatively, fans of West Ham pay just £310 for their cheapest season ticket, less than those of any other club for a 19-game ticket.

Arsenal charge the most for their cheapest ticket at £973.50, slightly more than their North London rivals Tottenham, who charge £807. However, with the priciest package available at Spurs costing £2,015, Tottenham fans will be paying more for the best seats.

No club charges more for their premium season tickets than Fulham, though.

Fans at Craven Cottage were outraged when they learned of an 18% rise in season ticket renewal costs for this season, with a premium ticket in the new Riverside Stand coming in at a staggering £3,000 - though their cheapest option is a far more reasonable £455.

Following Spurs and Arsenal, the clubs charging the most for their cheapest season tickets are Liverpool (£699), Aston Villa (£610) and Chelsea (£595).

At the other end of the scale, West Ham’s £310 season tickets are the least expensive, followed by Sheffield United (£380.50), treble-winners Manchester City (£385) and Brentford (£419).

Both Newcastle United and newly-promoted Luton Town have released little information about costs for the upcoming season, but last year the Magpies charged between £417 and £811 for season ticket, with Luton’s prices ranging from £430-£500.
