Manchester United's remaining Premier League fixtures compared with Liverpool FC, Newcastle and rivals

Manchester United remain in pole position to qualify for the Champions League next season despite mixed results - and another defeat - for them over this latest Premier League matchday.

Liverpool continued their late push for the top four with a sixth win on the spin against Brentford at Anfield on Saturday, while sixth-placed Tottenham also picked up three points. However, before lacing up their boots for the West Ham game, United were given an encouraging boost.

High-flying Newcastle were beaten 2-0 at home to Arsenal as Erik ten Hag and his players were presented with an opportunity to leapfrog them into third position. However, they were unable to do so and were beaten 1-0 by the Hammers as an error from David de Gea proved costly with Said Benrahma settling the scores.
