Manchester United's Jesse Lingard has been urged to sign for Newcastle at the end of the season when his contract expires.
Lingard was linked with a move to St James' Park in January before the deal collapsed, despite MEN Sport understanding that the England international wanted to leave Old Trafford. Ralf Rangnick later confirmed that Lingard had changed his mind about leaving the club and would be staying to fight for his place.
United opportunities have been few and far between for Lingard since the closing of the winter transfer window and he now looks set to walk away from the club at the end of the campaign. Speaking on talkSPORT, Ally McCoist urged the 29-year-old to join Eddie Howe's side.

He explained: "I think it would be a great move for both parties. Jesse, please go and get out there and start playing football.
"A move to West Ham would’ve been great. But a move to Newcastle, a team that are on the up and are going places.
"I do really think it makes sense." Howe's side have enjoyed a phenomenal turnaround since the former Bournemouth boss was appointed, rising from the relegation zone to ninth in the table.
