Manchester United's fixture schedule including Barcelona tie and Carabao Cup final

Manchester United face seven matches in the space of just 23 days this month after reaching the Carabao Cup final.

With a 3-0 first-leg lead against Nottingham Forest, second-half goals at Old Trafford from substitute Anthony Martial and Fred confirmed a meeting with Newcastle United, who advanced 3-1 on aggregate against Southampton. While one eye may well be on Wembley, United manager Erik ten Hag will know that half a dozen matches will come before that date on February 26.

After almost a fortnight of focussing on domestic cup competitions, attention returns to the Premier League this weekend and bouncing back from last month's late defeat against Arsenal. Another club from the capital, Crystal Palace, will be the opponents looking to end United's winning run at home.

That fixture is the third of four consecutive matches at Old Trafford, with Leeds United set to visit Manchester on February 8. Four days later, Ten Hag's side follow them back across the Pennines in their penultimate league match of the month on February 12.

The middle of the month marks the return of the Europa League as the play-off round gets underway on February 16. For United, that means a first trip to face Barcelona at Camp Nou since April 2019 when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side were comfortably knocked out of the Champions League by Lionel Messi and his teammates in a quarter-final tie.

Leicester City visit Old Trafford the following weekend on February 19 before Barca travel to England for the return leg on February 23. Just three days after doing battle with Barcelona for the second time, United close the month by competing for the season's first domestic cup against Newcastle on 26 February.
