Yann Sommer has been identified as a potential alternative by Manchester United should their pursuit for Andre Onana not bear fruit.
United are in the market for a new stopper this summer following David de Gea's departure upon the expiration of his contract. The Spaniard is now officially a free agent, though United have vowed to have talks with the goalkeeper about potentially extending his time at the club.
Senior options currently on the books at Old Trafford are Dean Henderson and Tom Heaton. Henderson, however, could well move on this summer on a permanent basis to Nottingham Forest after a successful loan spell at the City Ground.

TEAMtalk reports that the Old Trafford club maintain an interest in Swiss international Yann Sommer. The 34-year-old has a year left to go on his deal at German giants Bayern Munich. However, it is believed the Bavarians would be open to a deal.
Elsewhere, Sky in Italy reports that Inter Milan are expecting a first official bid from United to come this week for Onana's services.
