Much debate has been raging on social media among fans about who will play a crucial role in Manchester United's first team next season under their new manager as the club looks to start from scratch again after the departure of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
As well as the familiar names that you'd expect, several United youngsters have also been thrown into the mix. Ethan Laird, who is on loan at Bournemouth, is one of the names due to Aaron Wan-Bissaka's struggles this season alongside Hannibal Mejbri, who has just returned from AFCON and is set to join first-team training.
Amad is also a name that fans are desperate to see him get more first-team minutes and is already impressing on loan at Rangers, having scored on his debut.
But a player that often gets overlooked is Facundo Pellistri, who is currently on loan at Alaves. He was signed during the same window as Amad, but for a smaller fee of around £9m from Penarol, where he was recommended by his manager and former United player Diego Forlan, to the club.
His time at Alaves hasn't been anything to write home about, as the club as a whole is underperforming and sit 19th in the La Liga table.
Pellistri has only made six starts in the league and has played 593 minutes in total. If we're being completely honest with numbers like that, United should have recalled him in January and loaned him out elsewhere because limited minutes will not help his development.
But it seems the Uruguay national team setup still has faith in his abilities as he was called up to the squad and started in their 4-1 win over Venezuela in the South American world cup qualifiers.
Edinson Cavani also played and scored an overhead kick. Still, Pellistri's assist for Uruguay's second goal was what caught the eye of most United fans, as he skipped past multiple players before pulling it back for the onrushing attacker to slot it in.
He also won the penalty for Uruguay's fourth goal and was a constant threat down the right-hand side.
United have been struggling for creative options on the wings so far this season, with most of their attackers favouring the goalscoring role more than the creator role, and though Jadon Sancho was bought for the right-hand side, he has been deployed more on the left.
Summer will mark a clean slate for every United player. Hopefully, Pellistri, alongside Amad, will get more of a chance to show what he's made of and maybe we could see his name on the starting teamsheet at United rather than being misused out on loan.
