Manchester United 'preparing' Tammy Abraham bid despite Roma stance and more transfer rumours

Manchester United are reportedly 'ready' to make a big-money move for Roma star Tammy Abraham, despite the Serie A club's refusal to engage in talks.

United are looking to add to their attacking options and recent speculation suggests the former Chelsea striker is among the list of targets to be pursued in the summer. It was recently reported that Jose Mourinho's side had valued the striker at £100m but it's now being claimed that they won't entertain any offers whatsoever.

His debut season in Italy has already brought 23 goals in all competitions. With Edinson Cavani expected to be on his way out of Old Trafford this summer and Cristiano Ronaldo set to turn 38 next season, United's ageing frontline is in desperate need of an injection of youth.

Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport (via Sport Witness ) say that United are among the 'many clubs' asking about a possible move for the England international. The same report suggests the transfer committee at Old Trafford are 'ready to make a big investment' in order to snatch him from the Italian capital.

Meanwhile, with Bruno Fernandes reportedly set to put pen to paper on a contract extension, United are preparing to tie down two more players. According to ESPN, United are keen to extend the stays of England duo Luke Shaw and Marcus Rashford.

It has been said that the pair are considered 'important' players. The report suggests United are ready to offer fresh terms despite the Manchester Evening News recently reporting that Rashford was open to a move away.
