Bruno Fernandes was among several Manchester United players to send their best wishes to David De Gea following confirmation that the goalkeeper will leave Manchester United this summer.
De Gea confirmed on Saturday afternoon that he would not sign a new contract with United after seeing his deal expire last weekend. The Spain international spent 12 years at Old Trafford, making a club-record 545 appearances for a goalkeeper and keeping 190 clean sheets.
Talks over a new contract had been ongoing for several weeks, with the club keen to reduce his £375,000-per-week wages. But figures inside the club were keen to 'move on' from De Gea and manager Erik ten Hag has been eyeing a new goalkeeper this summer.

Marcus Rashford took to Instagram on Saturday evening to send a message to his teammate. In a post, he wrote: "You were here from my breakthrough, good luck with your next step brother."
Despite having only played with him for a season, Casemiro also took to Twitter to send a heartfelt message to the 'keeper. He tweeted: "David, my mate! You made history with Manchester United. You will always be a Red Devil and these fans will continue to support you wherever your next challenge leads you. You will always be one of us. My best wishes!"
De Gea's exit has looked increasingly likely over the past few weeks, with Ten Hag and United eyeing a new first-choice goalkeeper. The club had been exploring options last month, with a number of potential replacements on the radar.
United have been heavily linked with Inter Milan's Andre Onana, with football director John Murtough entering extensive talks with the Italian side. Discussions are said to be at an advanced stage, with both sides hopeful a deal can be wrapped up swiftly.
