Altay Bayindir – 7
United’s hero against Arsenal in the FA Cup was called upon once again, was not really tested but keeping a clean sheet will please the Turkish international.
Leny Yoro – 5.5
The 19-year-old is clearly still adapting to life in England and showed a more assured performance than his display against Southampton however Yoro had several misplaced passes and his foul ruled out United’s goal in the first half.
Matthijs de Ligt – 6
Had the ball in the back of the net before a harsh call by the referee to rule it out for a foul, did not do much wrong but was substituted at half time.
Lisandro Martinez – 6
After a difficult few weeks for Martinez and the whole United defence in general, this result will be greatly received and the Argentinian played his part in keeping a clean sheet – also played a superb pass for the winner.
Amad – 6.5
A slightly underwhelming display from the Ivorian, which is predominantly down to Amad failing to contribute with a goal – was a threat but wasted some good chances.
Christian Eriksen – 7
Christian Eriksen’s corner allowed United to take the lead as his cross forced Jack Butland to punch the ball into his own net and the Dane was a composed figure throughout.
Toby Collyer – 7.5
The youngster put in a strong performance on his European debut, kept things simple and allowed United to tick – while also covering every blade of grass.
Diogo Dalot – 6
Dalot proved to be a threat in the first half, combining well with Alejandro Garnacho on several occasions and did not look out of place when he moved into the back three.
Bruno Fernandes – 8
The Manchester United captain was his usual self, covering a huge amount of distance and creating several chances and scored the winning goal with a superb finish.
Alejandro Garnacho – 7.5
Despite the rumours surrounding Garnacho over a move to Chelsea or Napoli, the Argentinian was the main threat for United.
Joshua Zirkzee – 6.5
The Dutchman was non-existent in the opening 45 minutes, however, his performance in the second half brought more control to the United side.
