Dean Henderson joked that he went into agent mode and helped bring Jesse Lingard to Nottingham Forest after a move was completed.

Lingard was announced as Forest's latest summer signing on Thursday, with the United academy product understood to have been handed mega wages by the newly promoted club.

Lingard left Old Trafford last month upon the expiration of his contract, ending a two-decade long association with the club after a rough few years amid limited game time. Lingard was also linked to Newcastle as well as West Ham.

The 29-year-old follows goalkeeper Henderson - who has joined on a season-long loan from United - to the City Ground.

Lingard joins Forest on a one-year deal, said to be earning £180,000 per week. Henderson, meanwhile, will likely only be at Forest for the season after joining on loan with no obligation or option to buy.
