Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea told a Spanish journalist Alejandro Garnacho is going nowhere after being questioned about a possible move to Real Madrid for the teenager.
Garnacho signed his first professional contract when he turned 17 last July. His current deal runs until 2024, with the option of an additional year at the club's discretion.
Despite the long time left on his contract, recent reports in Spain have claimed that Madrid are interested in signing the 18-year-old and will keep tabs on his contract situation at Old Trafford. United are believed to feel comfortable over the teenager's future, yet the club will want to reward the Argentine for his form in the first part of the season.

Garnacho joined up with the rest of the United squad in Andalusia for warm-weather training, including two friendly matches against Cadiz and Real Betis, last week.
The electric winger featured in both games, and the Spanish press took their chance to ask Garnacho about a potential move to the Bernabeu after the defeat by Betis. Yet De Gea intervened, as he told reporters: "We won't let him leave."
Garnacho had been in superb form before the World Cup break, something that no doubt caused clubs around Europe, including Madrid, to sit up and take notice. In United's final match before the World Cup, a 2-1 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage, Garnacho became the youngest player to score an injury-time winner in the Premier League since Federico Macheda in 2009.
The youngster has scored in the Premier League and Europa League this season, as well as providing two assists in the Carabao Cup, despite having featured for just 292 minutes in all competitions this term. That is an average of a goal or an assist every 73 minutes when playing for Erik ten Hag's side - a return that most elite players would be envious of.
It is therefore no surprise that Garnacho is now being linked with a move to the likes of Madrid, yet it seems both De Gea and United are not keen or willing to let him go anytime soon.
