Manchester United's Alvaro Fernandez has is enjoying playing for Preston North End on loan.
Fernandez, 19, had attracted interest from Premier League and Championship clubs this summer, but Preston won the race for his signature, with their development plan for the youngster playing a key role in bringing him to Deepdale Stadium.
The left-back is highly regarded at Old Trafford and he's made impressive progress since signing for United from Real Madrid's academy in 2020. Fernandez made 32 appearances for United's U23s last season and his performances were promising.

Preston tracked the youngster's academy performances last term and they agreed a deal in July to sign him on a season-long loan. Fernandez has made four appearances for Preston and has been reflecting on his first few months at the club.
"I've been living in Manchester with an English family for two seasons now, so my English has improved a lot with them," Fernandez told Lancashire Live. "This is my third season over here and the football is so different; I came from Real Madrid where you always have the ball in a very good team. You had everything but over here it is a challenge, because it's more physical.
"The fans are different too but they are always there for you when you're in a bad situation, so that is good. I just spoke with the gaffer, he told me that he wanted me so that was good and enough for me.
"I am so happy to be here and I couldn't wait to start, so it's great to be here for the season. I wanted this, to play with the first-team and to play at a high level. Preston is a good chance for me to grow as a player and the fans are great with me.
"I will give everything to them. We are all together as a team and we know what we want, so we fight because we want to win. With me, the manager is very good and with all of the team mates. We are one big team, together, so that is really important.
"This Saturday we have a big challenge (against Birmingham), so hopefully we can win at Deepdale."
