Manchester United could reportedly be open to making a move for Harry Kane to solve their striker problem.
Kane was close to signing for rivals Manchester City 18 months ago but the deal to the Etihad Stadium would eventually fall through. Instead City would buy Erling Haaland and Spurs' 29-year-old striker has remained in North London.
United has also been linked with a move for the Englishman in the past and according to GiveMeSport they, along with Newcastle, could swoop in for the striker. At present, Kane has a contract that lasts until 2024 but there is nothing set in stone to suggest that he will remain at Tottenham beyond then.

Although he is thought to be happy under Antonio Conte, Kane's eagerness to win a trophy may see him look for a transfer away from the capital. So far this season, the Spurs talisman has scored 12 goals in 15 Premier League appearances but he suffered a rough end to his World Cup, missing a crucial penalty which knocked the Three Lions out of the tournament.
Elsewhere, The Athletic is reporting that Erik ten Hag is considering raiding Ajax once again, this time for an attacking midfielder. Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus enjoyed a superb World Cup for his team and showcased his potential on the world stage.
Kudus showed during the tournament that he can also play as a centre-forward and winger meaning his versatility could be a major incentive for the Reds. It is understood that Ten Hag is a firm admirer of Kudus and could be willing to make him a new addition at Old Trafford.
The Ghana international's current deal expires in 2025 so Ajax would be in the driving seat during any negotiations. It is believed that Kudus could cost £45m in January.
