Manchester United have reportedly been 'offered the chance' to sign former Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata.
According to ESPN, Morata has been made available to Erik ten Hag's side who are in need of attacking reinforcements. They had recently been linked with the signing of 33-year-old Marko Arnautovic – but the Manchester Evening News revealed that the club have withdrawn their interest in the player, partly due to the backlash from the fans.
Now it appears that United have turned their attention elsewhere as they look to line up a deal for the 29-year-old striker who only has a year left on his contract at Atletico Madrid. Morata has spent the last two seasons on loan at Juventus and his most recent campaign with the Italian side saw him score 12 goals and provide nine assists in 48 games across all competitions.

Elsewhere, the Independent report that United have been offered former Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, but the club will need to battle a Premier League rival for his signature.
Barcelona are believed to have offered Aubameyang to Chelsea as well as United, as Thomas Tuchel's side are also in need of a striker this transfer window. The London club are already believed to be trying to negotiate a deal with Frenkie de Jong and now it seems as if they are set to rival United to another signing as well.
Although negotiations for De Jong have been complex and tiresome, a deal for Aubameyang could prove to be a smoother process – especially since the Spanish side have added a striker to their ranks this transfer window already in the form of Robert Lewandowski. The former Gunner only joined Barcelona in January but impressed during his brief spell at the club so far, scoring 11 goals in 17 games for the Catalan team.
