Manchester United's Scott McTominay has admitted Erik ten Hag wants him to score more goals from midfield.
McTominay has not been a regular starter this season, but he's remained an important first-team squad player and he's contributed two goals, scoring against Omonia Nicosia and Aston Villa, in the 18 appearances he's made across all competitions.
The midfielder's goal against Omonia was of particular importance, as it kept United's hopes of winning their Europa League group alive until defeat versus Real Sociedad, which condemned Ten Hag's side to finish second in the group.

McTominay, speaking at a supporter Q&A event on Tuesday, revealed that he's working with Ten Hag to score more goals and he also discussed the need for the dressing room to keep Alejandro Garnacho 'grounded and humble'.
“I’ll go to the first question first. I should score more goals," McTominay said at the event. "The manager has actually spoken to me about that and shown me little clips and little ways I can be more effective in the game: making assists, scoring goals.
"If you do certain little details, then you can get yourself in those positions more often. I know that I can do it. I’ve always liked to fancy myself that I can score goals and stuff like that, so it’s important I keep practising.
"Whenever the manager speaks to you, you’ve obviously got to listen and take it all on board. It’s really good information that he’s giving you. He’s like that with a lot of players, where he’ll sit them down and speak through clips of games.
"Saying 'doing this, how you can influence this.' Loads of fine little details that can help players and obviously give them confidence, putting his time into us, personally and not just in a group scenario.
“It’s a difficult one to say with Garnacho. He’s a hell of a footballer and obviously for me if he keeps his feet on the ground and keeps learning and keeps wanting to work hard then he can do what he wants in football.
"He’s such a talented player and for us we’ve got to keep him humble and keep him working hard as well.”
