"He understands positioning in and out of possession and he is doing a really good job for the team."
Weghorst has started in all 13 United games he has been available for however his only goal for the club came in the League Cup semi-final first leg win at Nottingham Forest on January 25.
Ten Hag is adamant Weghorst will start contributing to United's goals for column. "It will come. I have the experience with so many players. I refer to (Marcus) Rashford at the start of the season, he also did not score in every game.
"But I know in my experience it will come. Once he has settled down, he has had a lot of games with us but not such a long period, when he is longer here, the routines will be there and when the first goal more will come."
