Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has admitted that he has "good hope" that Marcus Rashford will be available for Newcastle United's game against the Red Devils on Sunday afternoon.
Eddie Howe's side know that victory against Man United would see Newcastle move up into third and ahead of their top four rivals on goal difference. It has been more than a month since the Carabao Cup heartbreak and now the Magpies are looking for revenge on their home turf at St James' Park.
Rashford had to withdraw from the England squad through injury after picking up a knock in their 3-1 win over Fulham sparking doubts that he would be fit to play against Newcastle this weekend. He was seen in New York during the international break and the club have since confirmed that he returned to training earlier in the week.

And now Ten Hag has revealed that he is optimistic that Rashford will be available for the game against Newcastle after he joined in with the rest of the squad at Carrington.
"I've good hope, he trained but he had to do some treatment," he told the press. "He had to do some individual training, today he joined in with the group. We have one more day. I have a good hope he will be available."
This will come as no surprise to Newcastle supporters after Rashford was also believed to be a doubt before the Wembley meeting, with the Man United forward eventually scoring the second of his side's two goals. Howe will therefore have been prepping his team to deal with the England international's inclusion as they look to keep a clean sheet for the 13th time in the Premier League this season.
