Manchester United have reportedly made Napoli striker Victor Osimhen their main summer transfer target.
United are currently on the lookout for a short-term solution to their striker shortage in the January transfer window following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo in November. MEN Sport understands that the Reds are attempting to sign Burnley forward Wout Weghorst on loan until the end of the season.
Currently, the Dutch striker is on a temporary deal at Besiktas. However, in the long term, United are hoping to add some star firepower to their front line.

According to TuttoNapoli, United want to make Osimhen their big summer signing. The Nigerian has scored 11 goals in 16 appearances for the Italian leaders this season.
Osimhen's contract in Serie A is set to expire in 2025 and Napoli may be under some pressure to sell in the summer if it appears that he will not sign a new deal. Elsewhere reports from Sport in Spain have suggested that United have made an enquiry with the representatives of Barcelona striker Memphis Depay ahead of a potential deal.
It is understood that Erik ten Hag has enquired about the availability of Depay in the January transfer window. The report claims that any attempt to sign the former Red will be a loan approach.
Should Barcelona wish to accept the offer from United, Sport claims that they will have to pay the Dutch striker's wages in full. During his first stint in Manchester, Depay scored seven goals and grabbed six assists in 53 appearances.
