Manchester United have activated the one-year extension clause in Marcus Rashford's contract. It means that unless the club decide to sell him in one of the upcoming transfer windows, he will stay with his boyhood team until the summer of 2024.
Rashford will return to Old Trafford in the coming weeks following the disappointment of England's loss to France in the quarter-final of the World Cup. The 25-year-old did himself proud at the tournament, scoring three of the Three Lions' 12 goals.
As per The Telegraph, Paris Saint-Germain have already confirmed that they would like to sign the forward when his contract at Old Trafford expires and there is a growing fear that the former academy player is being advised to run down his contract and seek a new challenge at the end of it.

United are in a vulnerable position, but Erik ten Hag remains confident that he can prove to Rashford that the team is heading back in a trophy winning direction, and the club will be able to satisfy his financial demands when he has done so.
Asked if he can stop PSG luring him to France, Ten Hag replied: "I can't answer that question. He has to make a decision. What we can do is to show him that this is the best club to be in, and it has to do with the culture of the club, but also in the way we are working together.
“It has to do with the way we play, the way we train, are we offering the right environment to progress further on and it's also a financial issue as well. So, if we do that, if we can tell him about the ambitions and how we want to fulfil the ambitions, these talks we will have with him. Then it is up to him to make the decision. It's one-and-a-half years [still on his contract] and he will be here [for all of that]."
Though PSG are the only so called 'big' European club understood to be interested as things stand, Mikel Arteta's Arsenal had been linked with a move for the Englishman in the summer. Rashford fits the age profile of the Arsenal squad currently being built by Edu and Arteta, and he ultimately would add a mixture of quality, versatility and depth moving forward.
