Manchester United have tabled a bid of €55m (£47m) for Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, according to reports.
The midfielder has been chased by United for a number of weeks now with the 27-year-old said to be looking for a move to a more established European outfit. He recorded 11 goals and assists this season as Lazio finished fifth in Serie A.
Erik ten Hag is on the hunt for midfielders this summer with a plethora of United’s current crop set to leave next month when their contracts expire. Milinkovic-Savic is one of his targets and now an offer has been put to Lazio.

That’s according to La Reppublica (via LazioNews24), which claims more meetings about a possible transfer are scheduled, with the Italian club hoping to hold out for €80m (£68m). But it is thought the club may be willing to settle for a fee around €65m (£55m).
Meanwhile, United will reportedly have to battle Paris Saint-Germain if Barcelona allow Frenkie de Jong to leave this summer. Sport reports that his club will only listen to proposals of around £70m or more, if the player is granted an exit.
PSG tried to sign De Jong before he moved to the Nou Camp. Now, the source says, the Netherlands international would be excited by the prospect of a move to Paris to play alongside Kylian Mbappe and co.
