Manchester United loanee Tahith Chong suffers another injury setback during Birmingham game

Manchester United loanee Tahith Chong has been forced off with an injury during Birmingham City's Championship fixture with West Bromwich Albion.

Chong started the West Midlands derby at St Andrew's as the United youngster looked to help his side claim the three points and the bragging rights. However, with the scores tied at 0-0, the 22-year-old's outing was cut short.

Having used his pace to get away from a West Brom player, Chong switched play to teammate Scott Hogan. Immediately after doing so, the Dutch U21 international clearly felt a pain in his hamstring.

It was soon clear that Chong would not be able to continue and was substituted. It was a heartbreaking sight to see him limp off, with the winger having only just returned from a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

The United man was out of action from the end of October to the middle of February due to a groin injury. Chong returned to the starting XI with a bang at the beginning of March, scoring during Birmingham's 2-1 victory over Bristol City, though it remains to be seen how long the latest setback will keep him out of the team.
